Joiner Fee
A joiner fee is a one-time fee paid when you purchase your membership. Fees are used to help fund renovations and improvements. Current members are exempt from this fee if the membership is renewed within 60 days of the cancellation date.

Our YMCA welcomes guests of our members.   All guest must show a photo ID and there is a small fee per visit.  A maximum of three guest visits per year is allowed.

Methods of Payment
Monthly Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT.) Your checking, savings, or credit card account is debited once per month.  You may terminate at any time with a 30 day written notice.  Dues may be paid in full upon joining and yearly thereafter.  Payment is accepted via cash,  check, or credit card.

Membership Hold
Members may temporarily suspend their membership for up to 3 months during the course of the year for medical reasons or extended travel.  Any other extenuating circumstances must be approved by an authorized staff member.  A Hold form must be completed at least 30 days in advance of the requested hold date.

Transferring your Membership
If you wish to transfer your branch membership to another YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas branch, you will not be charged a joiner's fee. Simply go to your current branch to complete the termination process, and then go to the new branch you wish to join.  If you are leaving the Dallas area and wish to join a YMCA in your new hometown, we can provide a letter stating that you paid a joiner's fee and were a member in good standing.

Age Policy
Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian, unless they are in a supervised program. All children 12-15 must attend the youth & teen orientation course before admittance into the fitness center(s) will be granted; children 12 and 13 years old must also be within arms reach of a parent/guardian at all times while in the fitness center(s). Children 10 & 11 are permitted on the track only, as long as they are within arms reach of a parent/guardian at all times.

A parent must remain in the facility at all times. The nursery will close 30 minutes prior to the scheduled closing time if no children are present.
